The country's export of leather garments increased by 14 percent to $76.579 million during July-Aug 2013 period, official statistics say.
The country exported $76.579 million of leather garments to the world markets which are higher by 14 percent during July-Aug period of this fiscal year as compared to the commodity's export of $67.281 million made during the same period last fiscal year, indicating a rise of $9.298 million, official figures say.
In terms of volume, the country's leather export went up by over 5 percent to 180 metric tons during July-Aug period of this fiscal year as compared to the products export of 171 metric tons during the same period last year, rising by 9 metric tons, the statistics show.
